What is Little Curls?
Little Curls is Only Curls’ haircare and accessories range for kids with curly, coily and wavy hair. Created by people with curls, it makes caring for little curls simple.
What age is it suitable for?
Little Curls haircare is suitable from 6 months old, for all curl types. As children reach their tween/teenage years, they may want to explore the main Only Curls range to suit their changing hair needs.
Which hair types does it work for?
All little curl types, from loose waves to tight coils. The formulas add lightweight moisture rather than heavy oils, so they work well across all hair types and won't weigh fine hair down.
How is it different from the main Only Curls range?
Little Curls is formulated to be extra mild and gentle on children’s hair and scalps. The products are 98% natural, dermatologically tested and have a delicious fruity fragrance to make wash day more fun. The simple routine focuses on lightweight moisture and easy detangling, helping little ones love their curls and wear them with confidence.
What ingredients are in the products?
We have formulated these products to be as natural as possible, with all products being 98% natural. You can view the full ingredients list here
Which order do I use them in?
- Cleanse - Super Shampoo on wet hair, massage into a lather, rinse.
- Condition - Detangling Conditioner on wet hair, rake through with fingers, rinse.
- Detangle - Spritz Magic Detangling Spray, detangle with fingers, brush or comb, spritz again and scrunch dry with a microfibre towel or cotton T-shirt.
- Style - a small amount of Leave-In Styler and/or Soft Bounce Curl Gel scrunched into wet or damp curls; air dry or gently diffuse.
- Refresh - the Magic Detangling spray can be used between wash days to neaten curls and reduce frizz
Do I need all the products?
No, but they're designed to work together. For very fine toddler curls we would recommend using just the Super Shampoo and the Magic Detangling Spray
How much product should I use?
Less than you think. Start with a small amounts of the products. If hair feels greasy or heavy, you've usually used too much.
How often can I wash my child's hair with it?
As often as you need. The shampoo is gentle and won't strip children's hair, it’s gentle enough to use daily or however often suits your childs routine.
My child wakes up with messy hair in the mornings, what can I do to help?
Simply spritz the Magic Detangling Spray, then comb and scrunch curls back into shape.
How should I dry their hair?
Scrunch out excess water with a microfibre towel or cotton T-shirt, then air dry, or if your child has longer hair use a diffuser on a low heat setting.
How long does a bottle last?
This depends on how often you wash your childs hair, but the products do go a long way. The 100ml sizes are good for trying the routine or travelling; the 200ml sizes are better value for regular use.
What's not in it?
No sulfates, silicones, drying alcohols, parabens, mineral oil or paraffin. All products are 100% vegan, 98% natural and never tested on animals. They are made in the UK and adhere to all strict safety requirements and testing for children’s haircare products.
Is it safe for babies?
We recommend using the products from 6 months+
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Every product is dermatologically tested, however if your child has known sensitivities we recommend a patch test before first use. If you notice any irritation, stop using it.
